MetaProp is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on the real estate technology (“PropTech”) industry. Founded in 2015, MetaProp’s investment team has invested in 150+ technology companies across the real estate value chain. The firm manages multiple funds for both financial and strategic real estate investors that represent a pilot-and-test-ready sandbox of 20+ billion square feet across every real estate asset type and global market. The firm’s investment activities are complemented by pioneering community leadership including the PropTech Place innovation hub, MetaProp Accelerator at Columbia University programs, global events like NYC Real Estate Tech Week, and publications such as the Global PropTech Confidence Index and PropTech 101.

MetaProp is recruiting paid summer interns for the Investment Team out of our New York City office. We are looking for students in graduate programs and candidates must be able to commit up to forty (40) hours per week.

This internship is a hands-on, high-agency role within the firm’s Investment Team. As part of the team, you will be deeply involved in all investment-related activities, including sourcing, diligence, research, and operations, among other things. In addition, you will get direct exposure to how a venture firm is run, including strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and technology.

The ideal candidate is passionate about all things technology and real estate, and ideally has experience working at a VC firm or startup.

• Support new and follow-on investment diligence, including market/competitive research and financial analysis, among other things

• Contribute to thematic research on specific categories or industries, including white papers and market maps

• Source and conduct outreach to deal prospects

• Enhance investment team operations, including CRM/database pipeline management

• Represent the MetaProp brand through event support and networking with peer investors and industry stakeholders

• Support special projects as needed

• $20 - 25/hr
